My Story

Growing up in a tight knit family with my parents and sisters and grandma, in the very small Belgian community of Brussels WI. I was homeschooled all my life from kindergarten through highschool and as part of that education my mom taught me to sew at the age of 9. I started on American girl clothing, since my parents had gotten us them for christmas and mom and dad refused to buy the expensive clothing knowing that the opportunity to be able to pick out the patterns and the fabrics and notions and such to get exactly how or what we wanted. I took to it incredibly fast and absolutely loved sewing, my sisters, not so much. So after that I started sewing my own clothing here and there and then I would hem some clothing items for friends and family as time went on.

Fast forward to a few years later out of highschool I ran my own business as a horse trainer. Horses and training are a huge passion for me and still are, but after suffering a injury I needed to pursue a different career.  Thats when a opportunity came that a local dry cleaners were looking for a seamstress. I applied, and I got the job. I knew alot of the sewing techniques for the different alterations and learned quite a bit more and more advanced things. A few years later I was looking for my own wedding dress and when I found it the stylist wanted me to me with the seamstress at the boutique and I declined saying I was going to be doing my own alterations and that I was a seamstress. The stylist got incredibly excited and went and told the store manager and the head seamstress and next thing I knew I had a job offer that I couldnt refuse. So I worked as a bridal and formal wear seamstress until I got pregnant with my one son and after having him, it was decided that it was more economical to stay home and start working out of my own starting my own business and that was the best decision I ever made. I have been doing alterations professionally now for over 15 years.

I work out of a studio off of my home, my husband of 12 years and I have 6 kids and I also homeschool my youngest 3. I still ride horses as a hobby and love to sing and play music whenever the time permits.

If you have made it this far, thank you and I do hope to be able to help you in the future.
